Never painted a barn quilt before? You're in the right place!
We'll help you choose a surface, transfer your pattern, select paint, prevent common painting problems, protect your finished project and more.

How It Works! Simple Steps!
1. Choose Your Design
Browse the collection and choose a barn quilt pattern you love. Each design includes a color example for inspiration, but the colors you use are completely up to you. Choose a Design
Need help with Board selection or other help? View our Barn Quilt Basics page!
2. Download & Print
After purchasing, download your pattern and instructions. Choose your preferred size (12x12 or 24x24) and print it on standard 8½ × 11-inch paper. You don't need to enlarge, measure or draw a grid. See how to do it here.
3. Assemble
Line up, cut and tape your pattern pages. How do I put this together?
4. Easy Tracing!
Place carbon transfer paper beneath the pattern and trace the design onto your preferred board. What Board Should I use?
5. Paint, Finish and Hang!
Pattern instructions have a full color image of your design. Follow along with the suggestions—or completely make it your own. Learn more.

A Little Bit About US
Barn quilts have been part of our creative life for quite a while.
A few winters ago, we turned our house into a bit of a barn quilt workshop, painting quilt after quilt to donate to our local garden club. The club sold them to raise money for its projects, and somewhere along the way, we became pretty hooked on the whole process.
I’ve spent years teaching art through local Community Education classes as well as my own creative arts studio. We enjoy experimenting with materials and techniques, and helping people discover that they really can make something beautiful—even if they don’t consider themselves artists.
Wisconsin Barn Quilt Co. has begun from that idea. I want to make barn quilt painting approachable, enjoyable, and a little less intimidating, with patterns and practical guidance that help you get from a blank board to something you’re proud to hang.
And, of course, I’m doing it from right here in Wisconsin.
